A wonderful start to the week in our Children’s House! Only two days after Victor hugged his adoptive parents, today in the arms of his new mom and dad Miroslav took on his new life – full of children’s laughter and carefree games. Read the story of Yanka – the babysitter, who first took little Miro in her arms and was the last to pass it on to his parents.

Miro came to us in February this year directly from the pediatrics department of the National Cardiology Hospital – EAD Sofia, where he had spent the first 3 months of his life. We gave him all the care and love to make him feel loved and meaningful. In the five months with us, he has become a fluffy and sunny child, with an enviable appetite, whose smile fills his face every time he comes in contact with him.

I will never forget that rainy day in June, when his new mom and dad crossed the threshold of the Children’s House and the trembling with which they took him in their arms and exclaimed “This is our long-awaited boy”!

Since then, every day at exactly 4 pm, Miro’s parents waited impatiently in front of the door of the house to hug, bathe, feed, play and shower him with love and attention. And after only a few visits, the child apparently began to look forward to them an hour before.

Striking for me were the emotions and love of these people, the trembling and the great happiness of taking their son in their arms. I wondered if I was so excited about my own children…

Today, with indescribable joy, we send Miro to his new home, where we know that a fabulous children’s room, a large happy family and dedicated parents await him.
